Story County "Blast Back to School" Supply Drive

Posted on Monday, July 2, 2018 in Recent News

The Story County Blast Back to School fair is an engaging, energetic event for Story County children entering grades Kindergarten through 12. Each child will receive basic school supplies and backpacks while supplies last, to help them start their 2018-19 school year. Our goal is to build relationships and make connections. In addition, local providers will be here offering free health, vision and dental screenings required for certain grades or for participating in sports.

It takes about $100 worth of supplies for each child, and by encouraging donations, children can be equipped with school necessities. This event is a community effort coordinated by the Boys and Girls Club of Story County, Volunteer Center of Story County, Primary Health Care, Ames Community School District, Youth and Shelter Services, Inc. and community volunteers.

First National Bank will be accepting donations for the 4th Annual Story County "Blast Back to School" Fair at all of their Ames Offices.
