Rebecca A. Reisinger Named to First National Bank Board of Directors

AMES, IOWA – We are honored to welcome Rebecca A. Reisinger to our Board of Directors,” said Scott T. Bauer, President of First National Bank. “Rebecca’s legal expertise and strong commitment to serving our community will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our bank.

A native of Ames, Rebecca graduated from Ames High School before attending the University of Northern Iowa, where she earned a degree in political science in 1996. She then spent more than five years on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., serving in various roles, most recently as Health Policy Advisor for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance. She went on to earn her law degree from George Mason University School of Law in 2005 and returned to Iowa to sit for the bar exam.

Rebecca began her legal career at the BrownWinick Law Firm in Des Moines, focusing on health care and lobbying, before joining the Newbrough Law Firm (now the New Point Law Firm) in 2011. She became a partner there and continues to serve clients in estate planning and probate matters.

Beyond her professional work, Rebecca is deeply committed to community service. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Northcrest, Inc. and the Northcrest Foundation in Ames, as Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 160G, and is the current board president of the Ames High School Band Boosters. She has also served as a board member for Rehema Home U.S. Fundraising, Inc., which supports a home for abandoned children in Nairobi, Kenya, and completed a full term on the Board of Directors for ACCESS, a nonprofit supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. When she is not practicing law or serving her community, Rebecca enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children.

Her appointment with the First National Bank Board of Directors further strengthens the Bank’s commitment to community-focused leadership and ensures a broad range of experience and insight in guiding the organization forward.

Additional First National Bank Board members include: Jeff Baker, Betty A. Baudler Horras, Scott T. Bauer, Patrick G. Hagan, Philip A. Hodgin, Brian J. Laurenzo, John R. Linch, Gary K. Lorenz, Everett Miles, John P. Nelson, and Dr. Mike Roof.
