-
Step-by-Step Process to register for Online Banking
- Go to the First National Bank homepage and click on the "Sign-Up" link on the Online Banking box in the top right corner.
-
After clicking on the “Sign up” link, complete the registration form. Remember the username and password that you created for future login purposes.
-
After completing the registration form, check your email (the email address that you entered in your registration form) for confirmation from First National Bank.
-
1-2 days after you have registered for Online Banking, you should receive this second email as confirmation that you have been approved for Online Banking. The following business day after receiving this email, you will be able to log into Online Banking using your username and password that you created during registration.
-
Go to the First National Bank to log into Online Banking. Enter your username and password.
-
Once you have entered your username and password, you will be able to verify your account by email or phone. This security verification process will be used when logging in on a new device.
-
If you have entered your phone number as a verification option, you must confirm that you have entered the correct number.
-
Once you have entered and saved all of your information, select where you would like to receive your verification code. Check your email or phone based on what you selected. (The code is only valid for 10 minutes after you receive it.)
-
After receiving the verification code, enter the information. You then have the option to register your computer. Once a computer is registered, you will not have to complete the verification process every time you login.

What is a “contactless” debit card?
-
A contactless debit card allows you the option to tap your card for payment in addition to swiping or inserting your card. Contactless cards can only be used with contactless card readers, which are denoted by a sideways Wi-Fi symbol (four curved lines).
First National Bank will be issuing contactless debit cards because of the faster checkout experience for customers and the fact that the technology is being more widely adopted by merchants today. You can use contactless cards in any business that uses a contactless reader. You can also use a contactless card in regular ATMs or merchant terminals. If you’re traveling abroad, contactless transactions are popular in Australia, Europe, and Canada.
First National Bank will began issuing contactless debit cards May 10, 2022.

Where can I send a wire transfer?
-
You can send wire transfers to both domestic and international beneficiaries. Fees vary according to the destination.
The information you need to provide to the bank includes:
- Domestic bank wires: the beneficiary’s full name and physical address, bank account number, and ABA routing number.
- International bank wire: the beneficiary’s full name, physical address, SWIFT Code or BIC, and account number or IBAN (International Bank Account Number).
The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) Code is a unique identification code that is required for the bank to complete international wire transfers.
The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is the international standard for identifying international bank accounts across national borders. The IBAN consists of a maximum of 27 alphanumeric characters within Europe and a maximum of 34 outside of Europe. At present, the United States does not participate in the IBAN; therefore, First National Bank does not have an IBAN number. When sending wire transfers to countries that have IBAN numbers, include the number in your wire transfer documentation. To obtain the IBAN number of another bank, visit that bank’s website or contact them directly to obtain the information.
